We're back for the season and trust you're just as excited as we are!
Join us in welcoming these new vendors to the Wallingford market family:
- Lowercase Brewing, serving up small-batch beer produced in their Georgetown brewery/taproom
- Harvest Beat, ready-to-eat vegan entrees from Wallingford's Sutra Restaurant
- Melt, heat-and-serve artisan mac & cheese featuring local ingredients, whipped up by Sammy & Jarred, the adventurous duo who just a few years ago moved to Seattle from New York City
Many of your old favorites will also be on hand, including Two If By Seafoods (wild Alaskan salmon); Olsen Farms (taters and grass-fed meat); NuFlours (gluten-free treats); and Alvarez Organic Farms (veg, legumes and fruit), to name just a few.
To help kick off the festivities, our Farm Stand demo will feature local cookbook author/chef Kim O'Donnel, who also is SFMA's new social media maven. Kim will fire up her wok and make a hot salad based on what's available at market, Iron Chef style. Come by for a taste around 4 p.m.
